I created the illustrations and designed the layouts for a series of case studies for WGU Labs. These documents highlight findings from research ventures between WGU Labs and various partners.
WGU Labs x Stack Education
Scaling Career Readiness Bootcamps through Program Evaluation
To evaluate its Clinical Trials Management Bootcamp, Stack Education (Stack) partnered with WGU Labs (Labs). Stack works with colleges and universities to deliver on-campus and online curriculum preparing students with the credentials, knowledge, and job-ready skills needed to transition into new careers. In partnering with Labs, Stack gained insight into how using learning science strategies in their program design can drive student outcomes and help their company scale quickly.

Note: The illustration on the top of page two was created by Nathan Stoker.
WGU Labs x Major Clarity
Designing Student-Centered Career Pathways that Drive Business Growth
MajorClarity, a career and college readiness platform, wanted to expand from a start-up into an established business and grow its customer base. MajorClarity partnered with WGU Labs to grow its existing library of interactive career pathways and test out a new user-centered design framework to meet the needs of the schools and students they’re trying to serve.

WGU Labs x WGU Teachers College
Building Community into their Character Education Leadership Program
WGU Labs (Labs) collaborated with WGU’s Teachers College to develop an online community as part of WGU’s new Character Education Professional Learning program (CEPL). Funded by a grant from the Kern Family Foundation, the program provides professional education and certification for K-12 principals implementing Character Education at their schools.
Because the online community was a key part of the learning experience, Teachers College wanted to utilize a user-centered approach to create the community aspect of their program. They came to Labs for help in optimizing the platform and content for a successful community launch. The partnership between Teachers College and Labs illustrates the value an experienced design team can bring to a client’s process and outcomes.

I also created four illustrations as article headers for the CEPL online community described in the Case Study. To complement the focus on growth and CEPL's sun-shaped logo, I used plant motifs with a warm bright palette. I drew these freehand in Procreate.
Here are the images in context on the CEPL homepage:
