I was initially hired onto the WGU Labs team to create illustrations and motion graphics for online learning modules. As the organization's focus shifted into conducting research, I expanded my skillset with data visualization and report layout. I have had the pleasure of working closely with researchers to synthesize and present data with clean, compelling visuals, with a particular focus on never losing sight of the human stories behind the numbers.

Equity Assessment at SNHU
This 99-page equity discovery report conducted by WGU Labs on behalf of Southern New Hampshire University was an immense visual design project. I created a motif of swooping blue lines to suggest the feeling of forward and upward momentum, and implemented this design into the photography used throughout this expansive report. I also created numerous data visualizations and persona summaries to illustrate the concepts and data put forth. While the full report is not available publicly, I've included excerpts of a few favorite spreads.

Estimating Student Interest in Coaching Services
This report is one of three I designed for a research study conducted with students in the WGU College of Business to investigate career development. The findings herein are from the third phase of this research initiative, exploring potential interest in career coaching with WGU Labs partner, GoCoach.
The layout for this report was adapted from a case study designed by Anita Boeira. I laid out all the text, selected the stock imagery, and created the data and conceptual visualizations throughout. Click to download the full report.

Community Partner Support at WGU
For this report, I was asked to explore an editorial style design, as the data were comprised entirely of direct quotes rather than quantitative metrics that could be displayed in charts and figures. I studied fashion and photography spreads for inspiration, and decided to use high-contrast black and white photos to create a polished, intellectual aesthetic.

Degrees Without Doors: Why Peer and Professional Networks Still Elude Online Learners
This report was drawn from surveys conducted with the Student Insights Council regarding the challenges of social connections (and the resulting impact on career mobility) for online students. The layout is based on the design I crafted as part of the WGU Labs brand refresh initiative, which you can learn more about in this case study. In addition to creating the layout, I also designed all of the data visualizations.
